Shuttle Traffic for February 2017
In February 2017, with 127,494 trucks transported, Le Shuttle Freight achieved the second best month of February in its history, an increase of 6% compared to February 2015, although a decrease of 6% compared to February 2016. February 2016 was however one day longer than February 2017 (leap year). In addition, weather conditions in February 2017 were just as bad as during January, with snow in southern Europe leading to the destruction of fresh fruit and vegetable production in parts of Spain and Italy.
Passenger Shuttle traffic was lower compared to the month of February 2016, with 166,175 vehicles travelling, penalised again by the calendar effect.
The traffic figures for the month of March will be published on Monday 10 April 2017 prior to the opening of trading.
