Innovation: a CamCat camera van to further improve the maintenance of the catenary in the railway tunnels (French version)
December 3, 2020
All rights reserved
Eurotunnel maintenance has set up a CamCat camera van equipped with 3 high-resolution 4K cameras and 50 spotlights to inspect the 100km of catenary in the Channel Tunnel on a weekly basis. After a digital image processing enabling a tenfold increase in productivity, preventive maintenance operations can be optimised. Result: more safety, less incidents and more Tunnel’s availability.
