Europorte innovates with Oleo100 to decarbonise rail freight

Europorte is the first railway company to have carried out tests in 2021 by replacing Non-Road Diesel (NRG) with Oleo100 biofuel in a locomotive in commercial service on two non-electrified lines. Oleo100 is a renewable and biodegradable fuel produced from 100% French rapeseed residues which allows a 60% reduction in CO2 emissions on these routes.
