To meet the growing demand for energy and strengthen security of electricity supply, ElecLink is a critical part of the solution: a 1GW electrical interconnector between the United Kingdom and France via the Channel Tunnel that will allow the two countries to exchange up to 33% more capacity and further integrate low-carbon renewable energy sources when it is commissioned in 2022.
