ElecLink, a new Vital Electrical Link between the UK and Europe

ElecLink went into operational and commercial service on 25 May 2022, with the first commercial exchanges of electricity via the cable installed in the Channel Tunnel: a world first! ElecLink marks a major new step in the diversification of the Getlink's activities and demonstrates the Group's determination to remain at the forefront of innovation in its low-carbon businesses. ElecLink now contributes to the energy security between the United Kingdom and Europe and supports the transition to renewable energy.
