01 – Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's journey from London to Coquelles by Eurostar - 6 May 1994, London, 10am (UK time)

After opening Waterloo International Station, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II boards a Eurostar for the Eurotunnel terminal in Coquelles, France, accompanied by Prime Minister John Major, Margaret Thatcher and many other officials. At the same time, President François Mitterrand inaugurated the Eurostar terminal in Paris-Nord and left for Coquelles accompanied by Prime Minister Edouard Balladur and an official delegation.
