At its meeting held today (Friday, 8 April) in Paris, the Joint Board of Eurotunnel agreed to meet on Monday, 25 April, to approve the Group’s 2004 preliminary results and fixed the date for the first convening of the Annual General Meetings of Eurotunnel plc and Eurotunnel SA, provided a quorum is present for the latter.

In the interests of better informing shareholders of the Group’s activities the meetings will take place on Friday, 17 June, in Coquelles/Calais (France) and will be preceded by a tour of the terminal for those who wish to participate. In addition, a shareholder information meeting will be held in London on Monday, 20 June.

In light of recent progress, Mme. Perette Rey, the President of the Tribunal de Commerce de Paris (the Paris commercial court), has agreed to end the appointment of the Mandataire ad-hoc, Maître Régis Valliot. This follows a joint request by the Eurotunnel Joint Board and Maître Régis Valliot who had been appointed by the court on 30 November 2004.

M. Henri Rouanet gave an update on the positive conclusion to his mission to secure a place for Eurotunnel on the Steering Committee evaluating the proposed future Paris/Amiens/London high-speed line. The Joint Board was pleased with the decision of the French Minister for Equipment, which reinforces Eurotunnel’s position as a major player in European rail infrastructure.
